J. G. Forde
J. G. Forde, a comic vocalist, performed his "eccentricities" in London in the 1860s (Royal Cambridge Music Hall, Britannia Theatre, Crystal Palace and Alhambra). In 1870 Forde arrived in New York, where he performed at the Globe Theatre. Forde poses at New York's famous Sarony studio, where his slicked hair has risen during the long exposure time.
