Antoine F. Galassi
Antoine or Antonio Galassi was a popular and fiery baritone. He made his New York debut with the Academy of Music company during their 1878-79 season as Germont in "La Traviata" and Figaro in "Le Nozze di Figaro." Galassi remained with the Academy of Music through the 1884 season, appearing most frequently in "Lucia di Lammermoor," "Il Trovatore," and "Aida." The baritone poses in costume at the Mora studio in New York, circa 1875.
