Angiolina Ghioni, a soprano, made her American debut as Elvira in "Don Giovanni" at the New York Academy of Music in 1858. The Tribune praised her for her "nice well-rounded figure." The vocalist appeared in operas such as "Linda di Chamounix" (1867) as well as concerts at Steinway Hall. In 1866 the soprano co-founded the Ghioni and Susini Grand Italian Opera Company.
