Clementine Lasar, affectionately referred to as "Tinie," made her 1871 New York debut in a concert at Association Hall. Throughout the 1870s Lasar performed frequently at the New York Academy of Music and Chickering Hall. In 1880 the soprano married and began to use the name Lasar-Studwell. Holding a flower, Lasar poses imperiously in a magnificent gown and enormous millinery creation, at the Rockwood studio in New York.
