David Braham (1834-1905)
David (Dave) Braham, born in London, became the best-known U.S. theater composer of the late 1800s. In 1856 he traveled to New York and became Tony Pastor's conductor and composer, then moved to the Theatre Comique. Edward Harrigan, the playwright, and Braham became a highly successful team , beginning with "The Mulligan Guard" in 1872.
