Alma Krause
Alma Krause was a German soprano. In September, 1870, she made her New York debut at the Stadt-Theater as Zerline in "Don Juan." The vocalist performed nearly every evening for the rest of the fall at the Stadt-Theater. Krause sang frequently at the Terrace Garten, another German theater in New York, through 1872. She poses in costume for a male part at the Jaenucke & Kuhlmann studio in New York City, circa 1870.
