Alonzo H. Hatch (b. circa 1860)
Alonzo H. Hatch was a popular concert vocalist and comic opera performer In New York until 1888, after which he organized the Alonzo Hatch touring company. In 1906, arrested for panhandling, he was described in a Brooklyn paper as "45 years old, a broken down actor." Here the vibrant young Hatch poses in costume as Ralph Rackstraw in "H.M.S. Pinafore" during D'Oyly Carte's 1882-83 season.
