John Howson (1842-1887)
John Jerome Howson was the brother of Emma Howson of the Opera Comique. Howson's 1869 New York debut was at Wood's Museum. He spent the rest of his life performing comedic roles in the United States and England. Howson enjoyed great success in light opera, especially as Reginald Bunthore in "Patience" (1881-82).
