Joseph Maas (d.1886)
Joseph Maas, a famous tenor, belonged to the Carl Rosa Opera Company in England. Maas performed in Wagner's "Rienzi" in London in 1879 and in "Faust" at the Royal Adelphi Theatre in London in 1878. He was buried at Rochester Cathedral. Maas poses in a Wagnerian costume and wig at the Warren studio in Boston.
