Bobby Newcomb
Bobby Newcomb excelled at song and dance routines and performed in blackface. Newcomb's long career went from his 1867 New York debut with the San Francisco Minstrels, through the 1880s. In addition to his singing and soft-shoe, the entertainer performed vaudeville skits such as "The Two Awfuls" and "That Wife of Mine." A youthful Newcomb poses in a stiff collar at the Wood studio in New York.
