Carlyle Petersilea (1844-1903)
Carlyle Petersilea, a pianist and educator, performed in the 1860s. In 1871 he founded the Carlyle Petersilea Academy of Music, Languages and Elocution in Boston. Later in the century he became a writer on spiritualism (author of "Mary Anne Carew") and book publisher. With a full beard, he poses at the Warren studio in Boston.
