Augusta Rabineau

Augusta Rabineau was a French dancer who married a New York lawyer, Charles Goldey, and performed frequently in New York City. The danseuse poses in a fringed costume with cape, seated rather ironically in a similarly fringed chair. Rabineau's shiny tiara sports a star.
