Eme Roseau

Eme Roseau was an opera-bouffe star in the late 1870s and early 1880s. She made her 1877 New York debut as Mademoiselle Lange in "La Fille de Madame Angot" at the Lyceum Theatre. Roseau was best known for her role as Queen of the Songbirds in "Babes in the Wood." In front of a painted backdrop, the actress poses in her Songbird costume at the Mora studio in New York.
