Betty Rigl (b.1845)
Betty Rigl was a dancer from Holland. She began her career in variety shows and music halls in England, and then came to the U.S. to perform in the original "Black Crook," at Niblo's Garden in 1866. Rigl was the sister of Emily Rigl, also a dancer. The performer poses in a classical dance costume at the Gurney studio in New York.
