Ada Webb (b.1845)
Ada Webb, born in New Orleans, made her acting debut in "Grandfather Whitehead" at the Varieties in that city. Together with her older sister, Emma, the "Fairy Star Sisters" gave parlor performances. After touring California, Ada Webb made her 1860 New York debut as Kitty in "Boys and Girls of the Present Day" at the Old Bowery Theatre. Along with Emma, Ada managed the Webb Sisters' Theatre in New York in 1860. Emma gave up acting for lecturing in 1866, but Ada continued as a star. Upon marrying W. M. Connor in 1869, she also retired from the stage. Webb poses in a regal costume here in a photo taken by Mathew Brady.
