Ella Wesner

Ella Wesner, a variety entertainer, shone at male impersonation. She spent the late 70s in Europe, then began many seasons at Miner's Theatre (1880-83) and Tony Pastor's Theatre (1884-88), in New York. By the 1890s the "dashing" Wesner performed in German beer-halls. The actress poses here in military costume at the C. D. Fredricks studio in New York.
