Annie Sherwood

This may be Annie Sherwood Hawks (1836-1918), a prolific hymn writer. Her poems began appearing in newspapers when she was fourteen. In 1857 she married Charles Hawks. During the course of her lifetime Sherwood Hawks wrote 400 hymns.
