Emily Soldene (1840?-1912)
Emily Soldene was a successful English opera singer who directed her own burlesque company. One of her great parts was as Tom Tug in "The Waterman," in 1876. Soldene's memoirs, "My Theatrical and Musical Recollections" were published by Downey in 1897. Her sister was the actress and singer Clara Vesey.
