Cassie Troy

Cassie Troy made her 1867 New York debut as Dimple Ishin in "Brothers Brough" at the Broadway Theatre. After frothy parts such as Lilly Bell in "Red Riding Hood" at Barnum's Museum in 1868, Troy went on to perform Shakespeare - as one of the witches in "Macbeth" at the Bowery Theatre (1869) and as Emilia in "A Comedy of Errors" at the Park Theatre (1878). The actress poses here in costume at the Howell studio in New York.
