Jennie Blitz, Mrs. Van Zandt

Jennie Blitz, the daughter of Signor Blitz, became an opera singer and joined the Carl Rosa company. She married James Van Zandt, and one of their children was Marie Van Zandt (1858-1919), a famous opera singer. Jennie Van Zandt poses here at the Gurney studio, circa 1875.
