Samuel Bland Arnold
Convicted for his role in the conspiracy to kill Lincoln, he was pardoned in 1869 by President Andrew Johnson. He was photographed on the ship he was brought to for safe keeping, the Saugus. (Note the bullet marks on the turret behind him.) His nervousness at the subsequent trial was remarked upon.
