Josiah W. Begole (1815-1896)
Josiah Williams Begole was a U.S. Representative (1873-75) and Governor of the U.S. state of Michigan (1883-85). He was an early activist for women's suffrage, and became vice president of the first statewide suffrage organization, the Michigan Equal Suffrage Association.
