Mary F. Scott Siddons (1844-1896)

Mary Frances Scott Siddons was an actress, the great granddaughter of Mrs. Siddons. Born in India, Scott Siddons made her professional debut at Nottingham, England, as Lady Macbeth. She first appeared in London in 1867 at the Haymarket Theatre, as Rosalind in "As You Like It." The actress appears on this stamp, which is inscribed "Yours truly" and "Mary."
