George A. McCall (1802-1868)

George Archibald McCall was a Union general, a graduate of West Point (1822), and fought in the Mexican War. He was appointed brigadier general of volunteers in 1861. In 1862 he was captured by Confederate soldiers and sent to Libby Prison.
