Friedrich Schiller (1759-1805)

Friedrich von Schiller was a leading German dramatist, poet, and literary theorist, best remembered for such dramas as "Die Rauber" (1781; The Robbers), "Maria Stuart" (1801), and "Wilhelm Tell" (1804). Schiller was ennobled (and added the "von") in 1802. This marble bust was photographed in Paris.
