"Faith" by H. Powers
Hiram Powers (1805-73), the U.S. sculptor, modeled this bust personifying Faith while living in Florence. Powers was a leading neoclassical sculptor in the nineteenth century, best known for Greek themes. His son, Longworth Powers (1835-1904), photographed it.
