Adeline Billington

Adeline Billington was an actress who created many roles, including Mrs. Valentine in "Rough and Ready." She also played Venus in "Harlequin and the Loves of Cupid and Psyche." She married the actor John Billington and together they joined the Adelphi Theatre roster in London for its 1873-74 season in "Rough and Ready." This carte de visite advertises a series called "Wednesday Programme, Gallery of Celebrities, Photograph from Life."
