Elena Varesi (1854?-1920)

Elena Boccabadati-Varesi was an Italian soprano. She made her debut at Drury Lane in 1875, as Gilda in "Rigoletto." Varesi performed all over Europe, but lived the end of her life in the U.S., where she taught singing. In this photo she poses in a regal costume and crown.
