John Woodhouse Audubon (1812-1862)

An animal painter, Audubon was the second son of Lucy Bakewell (d.1874) and John James Audubon (1785-1851). John Woodhouse Audubon secured and painted most of the animals in his father's “Quadrupeds of America,” and oversaw its 1854 edition.
