Henry Banister (1831-1897)

Henry Charles Banister was an English composer and teacher, the son of the well known cellist, Henry Joshua Banister. The younger Banister was professor of harmony at the Royal Academy of Music. The teacher composed a great number of songs as well as overtures and wrote four books on music and musicians.
