Edward White Benson (1829-1896)

Edward White Benson was made archbishop of Canterbury in 1883. Benson worked very hard to improve relations with the church in Jerusalem, Assyria, and Russia. The cleric was a prolific author, leaving behind essays, sermons, hymns and biblical studies.
