Danford Marble (1807-1849)

Danford Marble, an actor, had to pay $20 to make his New York debut at the Chatham Theatre in "Fortune's Frolic." He made his 1845 London debut at the Strand Theatre. Marble married actress Anna Warren (b.1815), in 1836. She had a successful career in prominent U.S. theaters. This photo reproduces a daguerreotype from the 1840s.
