Queen Kapiolani of Hawaii (1834-1899)

Queen Kapiolani of Hawaii was the queen of King Kalakaua. Kalakaua died in January 1891. American businessmen overthrew the Hawaiian monarchy in 1893 and Hawaii was annexed to the United States in 1898.
