Joseph C. G. Kennedy (1813-1887)

Joseph Camp Griffith Kennedy was a statistician and superintendent of the Seventh and Eighth Censuses. He was authorized to travel to examine the census systems in other countries. Kennedy tried to persuade other countries to adopt a uniform system of census classification that could be shared. He organized the First International Statistical Conference In Brussels in 1853.
