Lincoln's Funeral Procession in New York City
Crowds line an almost empty Broadway as they await the procession up Broadway on the day after Lincoln had been laid out for public viewing at City Hall. This picture was taken from an upper floor of Anthony's studio at 501 Broadway. In New York's farewell, a total of 11,000 of the military marched, along with 75,000 just plain people.
