Lotta Crabtree (1847-1924)
"Lotta" (Charlotte Crabtree) was a U.S. actress whose early days as an entertainer during the California Gold Rush made her the darling of the American stage as well as England. At age 12 Lotta began appearing in theaters in San Francisco, where her singing, dancing, and melodramatic roles - many written for her - kept her in the limelight.
