Beardless Lincoln

This is a painting of Abraham Lincoln based on a reversed version of a photograph made in Chicago in October, 1859. The shirt collar and tie, the large ear and strong nose are fairly accurate. But the eyes are most unfortunate, and give a cartoonish, bug-eyed look to this Lincoln portrait.
