The Lincoln Family

Painter F. Schell used a photograph of Lincoln and Tad, taken at Mathew Brady's studio on February 9th, 1864, as the basis of his painting. Schell added Mary, Robert, and Willie (deceased, in the picture frame at the top right). This is engraver A.B. Walter's version, published by John Dainty in 1865.
