Bust of Marcus Joseph Wright (1831-1922)
Confederate brigadier general. Severely wounded at Shiloh, Wright was promoted to brigadier general in 1862 and led his men during the Tullahoma, Chickamauga, and Chattanooga campaigns. After the surrender Wright was selected by the War Department to supervise the collection of Confederate records for the "Official Records."
