This postcard illustration shows the Old State House in Springfield, Illinois as it appeared in 1858. Lincoln was part of the state legislature that met in this building. His body lay in state here for twenty-four hours in 1865. The postcard is No. 6 in the Lincoln Series of postcards published in 1908 by an unknown company.
