To the Voters of Sangamon County

William H. Herndon signed Abraham Lincoln's name (without his advance permission) to this newspaper petition calling for voters to appoint delegates to the 1856 Bloomington Republican convention. Lincoln did approve of his signature to the petition after the fact.
