Jackie Robinson (1919-1972)

Here is 26-year-old Jackie Robinson as he looked when Branch Rickey first hired him. He is wearing the cap of the Montreal Royals, the Dodger's minor league affiliate. The following year, 1947, he would play shortstop for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
