"The Bloomer Costume"

This lithograph of a young lady in the new bloomer costume was engraved and published by Nathaniel Currier. The bloomer costume of a short skirt and full trousers was designed by Elizabeth Smith Miller and made popular by women's rights reformer Amelia Jenks Bloomer.
