"The New Costume Polka"

This sheet music features an engraved illustration of a young lady wearing the new bloomer costume of a short skirt and full trousers. The costume was popularized by women's rights reformer Amelia Jenks Bloomer. The sheet music was published by Lee & Walker of Philadelphia in 1851.
