Lincoln's Letter to Elmer Ellsworth's Parents

These are the 2nd & 3rd pages of Lincoln's letter to Elmer Ellsworth's father and mother. President Lincoln's letter was written on the day after Ellsworth became the first Union casualty of the Civil War. Lincoln describes Ellsworth as "my young friend, and your brave and early fallen child."
