Singer Sewing Machines
In the elegant interior of I. M. Singer's New York headquarters, ladies try out the sewing machines while men look at merchandise in display cases. Although Elias Howe actually invented the sewing machine, he had to fight Singer - who took the credit and profits - during the long years of the "Sewing Machine Wars."
