Reagan's Secret Service Attempts to Save James Brady
This scene shows the chaos outside the Washington, DC, Hilton minutes after would-be assassin John Hinckley, Jr. fired on President Reagan. Secret Service agents leap to push away photographers. Two agents attempt to save Press Secretary James Brady, who lies face down and unconscious on the sidewalk. Police agent Thomas Delehanty and Secret Service agent Timothy McCarthy were also wounded.
