"The Veiled Prophet's Pageant at St. Louis"
This illustration shows President and Mrs. Cleveland standing on a balcony, overlooking the annual street pageant of the Veiled Prophet. It was printed in a supplement to "Harper's Weekly," October 15, 1887. The supplement celebrated the tour that Cleveland took with his wife Frances from September 30 to October 22, 1887, and was named "The Presidential Tour." They visited Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina.
