Lincoln's Letter to Mrs. Bixby
The famous letter Lincoln wrote to Lydia Bixby, the mother of (not five but) two sons killed in action. The original letter has never been found, but contemporaneous newspaper transcripts demonstrate its authenticity. This is a "facsimile" from the 1890s made up by Huber's Museum in New York City.
