John Wilkes Booth (1838-1865)
John Wilkes Booth was the assassin of President Abraham Lincoln. Booth was a successful actor who was highly acclaimed for his Shakespearean roles. He committed the first presidential assassination in American history when he shot Lincoln on April 14th, 1865.
